Grants and Financial Aid

The following list of nonprofit organizations may provide financial assistance to families of children with an ASD diagnosis to offset the cost of therapies such as ABA, speech, and occupational therapy as well as equipment such as Assistive Technology and more.

CARE has no financial relationship with any of these organizations and is unable provide detailed information about obtaining aid. We provide the links below as a courtesy to parents in need.

ACT Today

Act Today awards grants with priority given to families with household incomes less than $100,000. Funding may be used for ABA, speech therapy, OT, medication and home safety devices. Home – Autism Care Today

Anchor of Hope Foundation

Anchor of Hope Foundation offers financial assistance to individuals who can provide a proof of diagnosis of a developmental disability to help cover the costs of therapy, education,equipment, and other direct needs of the individual not covered by insurance or Medicaid.

Huckleberry Foundation

One of the main goals of The Huckleberry Foundation is to provide direct assistance to families with special needs children. We accept applications from families in need of financial assistance for their family member(s) with special needs. Eligible applicants have a family member or members medically diagnosed with a disability such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, etc. You are welcome to apply for funds for anything that will directly improve the life of your special needs child.

AutismSpeaks Cares

AutismSpeaks Cares provides support for families affected by autism during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events. The grant program helps families to cover costs associated with critical expenses related to the well-being of the family member with autism on a case-by-case basis.

Foundation for Autism Care, Education and Services (FACES)

The Foundation for Autism Care, Education and Services (FACES) is a non-profit, 501c3 foundation. FACES is dedicated to raising funds to directly support and promote ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy, education, services and treatment for children with Autism and their families who reside in the Houston, TX area.

Autism Cares Foundation

Autism Cares helps families affected by autism to cover costs associated with critical living expenses such as; housing, utilities, car repair, daycare, funeral expenses, and other essential items on a case-by-case basis.

The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to facilitating access to medical-related services that have the potential to significantly enhance either the clinical condition or the quality of life of the child and that are not fully covered by the available commercial health benefit plan.

Interactive Technology Assisting Autistic Little Kids

ITAALK provides interactive technology to children (0-22) with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, and educational training on interactive technology to families, educators, and service providers of children with special needs.

The Canyon Rice Hope Scholarship

The Canyon Rice Hope Scholarship provides grants to children with autism and other developmental disabilities for therapeutic tools, camp fees and other expenses not covered by insurance. Grants are usually in the $100-$250 range in order to benefit as many people as possible. The grant is a program of Gateway Services in Franklin, IN. The Maggie Welby Foundation

The Maggie Welby Foundation offers grants for children and families that have a financial need for a particular purpose. Grants may extend to children and families in need of help with bills, athletic opportunities, medical needs, or an opportunity that a child would not otherwise have.

Blooming With Autism

At Blooming with Autism, we recognize the importance of exposing children with autism to various forms of therapy: from traditional ABA, Speech, OT to non-traditional music, art, karate, tennis, gymnastics, auditory retraining and more. There is also a high demand for therapy tools such as Ipads, weighted blankets, assisted learning devices, adaptive bicycles and the list goes on. However, we also understand that due to financial constraints most families are unable to provide these for their children. Our mission is to ensure that all families have these resources available to them.
