Participants will learn about the importance of incorporating the teaching of the identified ten critical communication skills into all aspects of their students' educational programming.
Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of prioritizing teaching these ten critical communication skills by learning a step-by-step approach that can be taught as a goal for instruction and/or as part of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) as a means to increase prosocial communication skills as an effective replacement behavior or a functional equivalent behavior while decreasing problematic behaviors often exhibited by students with ASD regardless of their level of functioning. Participants will learn how to incorporate preventative strategies for teaching the skill along with how to teach each critical communication skill and then provide reinforcement for using the critical communication skill across the school day. Materials for teaching each skill will also be provided during the training.

Participants:
School Psychologists,
